Professional experience
Lawyer since 1993, he has been the head (1997-2001) and a member (2002-2010) of legal and consultancy groups formed by the European Commission on major energy transport projects in Central Asia and Eastern Europe, and has provided consulting services to European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the World Bank (World Bank) in various projects.
He has been an expert advisor of the Greek Ministry of Development on matters of state aid and has been involved in the drafting of the Greek Law on Public-Private Partnerships, as well as of various legal acts in Romania, Georgia and the Ukraine.
Since 2005 he is an in-house legal consultant for the state-owned “Public Properties Corporation SA” (which manages over 76,000 real estate assets), and has contributed to the design and setup of a novel online platform (www.e-publicrealestate.gr) for the promotion, tendering and sale of the assets of the corporation and the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund.
