Professional experience

Lawyer before the Thessaloniki Bar Association since 1992, he is Associate Professor of International Economic Law at the Faculty of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he teaches International Trade Law, International Investment Law, International Business Transactions, Cooperation for Development and Energy Law, at graduate and undergraduate level.

He is very experienced in domestic and international arbitration (ICC, UNCITRAL, ICSID), being a member of the Commission on Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (Paris) since 2004 and having been the first General Secretary of the Mediation Center of the Thessaloniki Bar Association. He has been appointed Arbitrator in several major cases and has designed a distance learning e-tool for the training of students from different countries on international commercial arbitration: http://mockarbitrationonline.blogspot.gr/

For many years, he participated in international consulting teams in large technical assistance projects of the European Commission in the sector of energy transport in Central Asian and Eastern European states.

He has been Legal Counsel to three Prime Ministers of Greece.
